Heat Distressing Reinkers
Heat Distressing Reinkers
Over at Scrapbook News & Review one of the girls showed an example of how she to a distress reinker, dribbled it on a piece of glossy cardstock and then zapped it with her pellet burner (I don't know what that is but she assured that a heat gun would work just as well so I had to try it )
My examples-a bit of Broken China and Tattered Straw reinker on glossy cardstock
Now when heating-suggest you do this outside, and it takes a bit of time. I set of the smoke detector inside
the end effect was pretty cool.

Re: Heat Distressing Reinkers
Wow that is very cool. I guess most re-inkers would probably work. May have to try it soon, love that background for a journal page.

Re: Heat Distressing Reinkers
LOVE it! Hope I can remember the idea until it gets warm enough to go outside and do it.
Re: Heat Distressing Reinkers
too funny about the smoke alarms This sounds like something I should try. Thanks for the tip!!
Re: Heat Distressing Reinkers
Hmmm I always thought a pellet gun was
what we call a BB gun, but wouldn't that
tear the paper.
Your results with the heat gun are awesome!

That is gorgeous!
So, do you think a heat gun works in an outside outlet when it's below freezing degrees outside?

DUH she's using the pellet gun without the pellets,
just the air, I wonder if one of the cans of compressed air
for the computer would give a similiar result, or would it be too
much air at once.

I wonder if its a bigger burst of air than the compressed air cans using those straws...or not. I have some...I need to try it. Love those backgrounds, Christy!

I use the canned air without the straw
for a lot of spraying, like the front of
the server.Depending upon distance from
the paper, you could get a wider spray
of air or the straw would give you more
control
