Anniversary Challenge due 11/30
Anniversary Challenge due 11/30
My challenge is to do a project (scrapbook page, ATC, greeting card - whatever) that incorporates a new technique you learned over the past year.
I learned so much with the Bernie challenges - has that really been that long ago? And then last month, Christy taught some of us the paper cloth technique. Last fall, I finally, finally learned to smudge the edges of my projects from Tim Holtz.
This has been a great year, hasn't it?
Feel free to submit a piece that you might be using in another challenge or swap.

Re: Anniversary Challenge due 11/30
Sounds fun! I plan on doing lots this weekend!
Re: Anniversary Challenge due 11/30
Here is my contribution for the anniversary challenge. I made a book for my LFB pages from ReCreate last month. I think I'll have to re-bind it with a *much* larger wire, but this was the biggest one I had. I didn't want to punch holes in all of the LFB pages, so I made edges to adhere the LFB pages to. Aside from the oring being entirely too small, I think it came out well.

It came out great! I need to do a little book like that for my Pet LFB pages.

Thanks everyone! I'm thinking that my BIA "technique" is something I still need to work on, but it sure has been fun practicing!

I like it, Julie! I am really wavering on a BIA thanks to enablers like you!
Re: Anniversary Challenge due 11/30
Yeah, me, too! When I first tried one, I wasn't too impressed but when I see a book like this, I think I need to give it another try. This looks great, Julie! I might need to put this on my Christmas/birthday list.bethrich wrote:I like it, Julie! I am really wavering on a BIA thanks to enablers like you!
Are there any other systems for binding your own books besides the BIA?
Re: Anniversary Challenge due 11/30
Julie - what a great job.
I keep thinking I can't justify a BIA - but when I see what can be done it gets tempting.

Re: Anniversary Challenge due 11/30
I did get mine yesterday and this morning before I left I did get pages for my book punched. Now when I get home I just have to read the rest of the directions and add the o rings. I hate reading directions, I work much better if someone shows me.
