2019 World Card Making Month Challenge Day 1
2019 World Card Making Month Challenge Day 1
Are we ready? Good! Let’s get started and make a card today to post right here. October is tomorrow but why wait? I’m giving you all (and me:) a head start.
Each night before, I will repost this thread with a new date and possible additions of card elements at least once a week. Make a card, any card and post it on the day you made it in the appropriate thread. But you can also add to your points by adding any of the card element items below.
CARD ELEMENTS:
1. Choose one of the below color swatches (be sure to note which one you chose in your post: Purples, Greens or Blues)
2. Embossing powder
3. Glitter (if it’s in the embossing powder, that counts as 2 items!)
4. Choose one of the sketches below: Obi, Cluster or Panels
5. Focal point is a word die or word stamp (words from a digital cutter accepted and encouraged)
6. Embossing Folder
7. Ink blended backgrounds
8. Die cut images (digitally cut images accepted and encouraged)
9. Create a decorated envelope that coordinates with your card (Extra point)
Points:
Each newly made card with one or less element 1 pt
Any newly made card with 2 elements from list 2 pts
Any newly made card with 3 or more elements from list 3 pts
Post a card a day (31) or a total of 31 cards by end of
October. 31pts
Create a custom envelope for a specific card. 1pt
I hope this is clear? Don’t hesitate to ask questions...I’m winging this,
GO MAKE SOME CARDS!

Re: 2019 World Card Making Month Challenge Day 1
Ok, here’s my first card. Getting a little jump here and there on holiday cards. This card contains 2 of the challenge elements all in one. Glitter and embossing powder. This embossing powder is a Catherine Pooler / WOW embossing powder that is both chunky and glittery. Fun to use. There are also random Stickles on the snowflakes.

Thanks Pam. That blue background is from Catherine Pooler’s Holiday 6X6 paper pad.

I tried to move this post but forgot how to do it! So, I'll just post again.
I used the 3rd swatch, glitter on the leaves, 1st sketch, word die and stamped the envelope.

Posting in the correct thread...
Purple color mood board and inspired by the embellishment cluster sketch. Who saw that coming? The green spots are Stickles (hint - for anyone trying to come up with another neglected supply challenge)

PamP, thank you for posting your wonderful card and custom envelope here. I’ll be adding a new thread for each day of this month.
PamC, you nailed that color board and of course the cluster (knew you’d try that one:) is excellent as usual.
Thank you Pams X 2 for playing today!

Here’s My Day 2 using a different sketch. ..... and punches, the sentiment says “ what the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls the butterfly”.

Re: 2019 World Card Making Month Challenge Day 1
And the second set using the same inspiration. I actually used a stencil and mousse on these. I know. Who would have thought I even knew where it was? I’m posting the envelopes and am embarrassed at how poorly they turned out. I’ll take the points though!

Debi, your card is amazing and the sentiment is wonderful. And an envelope to boot! I know you have a busy schedule coming up so I really appreciate your participation before you leave.
Pam your cards are lovely and there’s nothing wrong with your envelopes...they are gorgeous and any recipient will love the envies as much as your fab cards. Laughing and seriously impressed with the stenciling.
