Cedric got sick last night and we were at the vet until late. He rallied a little during the night, but then collapsed after I left for work. They got him back to the vet, and was nothing else they could do for him. His heart had too much damage from the strain.

My baby is gone. I am devastated.

Thank you all. It's so hard for people who have never had animals to understand how much it hurts. Adam wanted his sister to come home, so he and Chris have gone to Wilmington to pick her up. I spoke with George a little while ago and he was crying. That broke my heart as much as the news about Ced. As soon as the boys get back they have to go to the vet's office and pick him up. We'll bury him beside Buddy.

I wish I could leave work. It's just too hard to try to work today.
