We have spent the whole day at the hospital as Debbie (niece) had her surgery. They were to take her at 6 (which they did) with surgery scheduled for 7:30. They were 3 1/2 hours late in getting started as someone forgot to get the blood work done. This was to repair a fistula and to remove the rest of the mess from prior surgeries. They said there was a 60/40 chance that they could repair it. With all the prayers and Gods grace they were able to get it done. She should finally soon be able to eat. She has not had any food by mouth since May. We were able to see her this evening and she looked good but was in a lot of pain. I'm sure once they got her settled she would have pain meds.
Sitting in a hospital all day is not fun.

You are a good aunt, glad they could fix it and hope she is more comfortable soon!

Keep us updated.
Praying especially today for you and your family as well as Carol and her husband.
Joel's mom just got out of the hospital yesterday. Being hundreds of miles from loved ones when they're sick is just as tough as sitting in the hospital waiting room. Especially with the holidays fast approaching.
