2016 Christmas Cards - January
Re: 2016 Christmas Cards - January
thank you
Re: 2016 Christmas Cards - January
Here are a few more from me for this month.
This tree is on the last page of my JYC album. And I did find the wandering "t" for the word "next". The card on the right we received from friends in Australia. It's a commercial card but I thought it had some good ideas for this challenge. I liked the crossed branches. And the last one is just a card, nothing to do with Pam's challenge. I bought the coloring book of holiday motifs and used part of one page on the card.

Oh wow Marianne! Love all your trees, particularly the last two.

Thanks, but please note, the green tree is not mine. It was one received this year and I liked the crossed branches and thought it might provide other inspiration for trees.paddlegal wrote:Oh wow Marianne! Love all your trees, particularly the last two.

Thanks for sharing the green one. I may try that one plus the one next to it.

The crossed branches give the trees a lot of movement, and I like the way you used string for the trunk.

Nice cards Marianne! That colouring book looks useful. Is your string art on the ornament hand drawn? Have to say I'm not a fan of that emerging trend, although I love it here, the perfect place for it.

Thanks,
I just colored the picture, Keitha, and then cut it up to use part on the card. I did add bows on the ornaments and a few pearls but that's it. You mean I'm following a trend while it's still happening, that must be a first!

I used a border punch on strips of white card and some silver stickers. Next time I think I'll round off the ends of the strips, so they don't look so "square". Thankyou Pam for the Challenge.

Kathryn that looks great!
Marianne I like the idea on that green one! You coloring book page look like fun. The cards are really very nice, glad you showed the one with crossed branches.

Pretty card, Kathryn! I've been saving the border frames around some coloring pages to try something similar. These trees would be a great way to use border stickers and strips and I'm surprised no one has used washi tape or ribbon yet!

love these different designs

Kathryn, fabulous use of those borders! Very clever.
Yes Marianne, I was thinking of washi tape also. But forgot about those border stickers. Great idea.
