Journal Your (2017) Christmas

Post by pamcook »

I’m determined to get 2017 & 2018 done this year. Here are my first pages of 2017. Will post another batch as I get them finished.

Wow, they look wonderful. I can't believe you are going back and doing those journals. I guess grandchildren help to keep the momentum and the spirit of Christmas going.

I have so many pictures from last December that I’m overwhelmed. Her journaling prompts are honestly helping me narrow down the stories I want to tell.

I started watching Shimelle's 2018 videos last night.... and I just may jump in and work on this project again this year... I've got the little binders and page protectors, so I might as well do it, right? LOL

You're doing a great job of getting caught up with 2017, Pam!! That's spurring me on, too!

Thanks Everyone!
I like this year that she’s really keeping it simple. Doing a house reno while filming a month long class in DECEMBER would certainly make me keep it simple.

I have my supplies in a basket on my kitchen island. If my photos or theme for the day don’t match up with her’s, I just make a note so I can use her’s later. I do so little journaling but I can always add more later.

Pam, these are beautiful. Every year I say I am going to do this, but I never do. I don't even think to take pictures. Yours are lovely, as Shimelle would say.

It’s not too late. I actually find it easier to do the pages & journaling and then add photos later.
She said she plans on changing some of the prompts for next year (if that matters to anyone). Also many people only do some of the prompts.

And it’s finished! 28 page protectors and three “date dividers”. I had to get a bigger binder.

What a sense of accomplishment! Now I have an idea of which photos need to be on 12 x 12 layouts. I hope to get those printed this week and have them done by the end of the month. 2018 is done through the 13th. Good head start for when I get motivation to finish that up.

You go girl! Love the pages you've shown us, and I applaud your getting it done. I, too, keep thinking I'll do this and then it never quite materializes.

Wait - caught up? Is that even a Thing in scrapping? LOL
