More cards from my afternoon at Helen's

Some of them were just a matter of sticking a large sticker on the front... and stamping a sentiment... I needed some simple ones for folks at work...

These have a little more work involved... particularly the ones with the diecut roses... I did the roses and leaves by using Color Bursts on watercolor paper and then doing the die-cutting... I'll definitely be making more of those... I may need to stamp the sentiment on a banner and adding it to those cards instead of stamping directly on the card front... it just needs a little doctoring up so the sentiment looks as pretty as the diecuts

Pretty cards. Love that rose diecut. Who makes it?

Gorgeous cards with the diecut roses Debi. Carol beat me to it, asking who makes the die.

I bought the rose diecut off eBay.... on the slow boat from China.... there are a TON of dies out there that are dirt cheap.... as long as we still have the trade agreement with China, there's no shipping cost...

I bought this one from these folks...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rose-Flower-Cut ... 51e4b77eb3

I've ordered a bunch of dies from assorted Chinese sources... they've all arrived and work perfectly.... some just take a while to get here. But they give tracking information, too... so it's easy to know where the order is. Also... some of the dies Gina Marie sells are also from here... so if you're looking at what she's selling... check eBay first unless it's her original designs

Those prices are crazy! Thanks for the link.

A stamp store near me is now selling dies from China also. They aren't that cheap but they are reasonable and work very well.

I gave the dies a test run. Wasn't sure how long that slow boat would take. It's not really awful and I have seen some dies that are for sale by name brands. Maybe their trademark expires or something. But I'm happy with those prices!!
