MISTI

Post by ScrappinJen »

Has anyone here purchased a MISTI? Just watched the video and it looks too good to be true. But I'm never the first one to own anything so I will sit back to hear some of the negatives about it. It can't be perfect, can it?

Here's a link if you don't know what I'm talking about. It's like a Stamp Press, Stamp-a-ma-jig and Position It all rolled into one.

Lemme know.

Oh my goodness.
I might have to buy it (or put it on my letter to Santa).
It solves the majority of problems I have with stamping.

It does look like a great idea. It would depend on how much it costs if I think I would use it enough.

I think that would be where I am leaning also Marianne. It is a very, very clever tool however. But considering that I bought a Position It at the 2010 CS Retreat, never opened it in 3 years and then sold it to someone else who has never used it either...hmmmm...do I need this?

I have to stamp 6 or 8 times to get a nice even image without smudges. Chances are, I'll drop the stamp as I lift it from the paper, too.
When I'm making several cards with the same image, I almost never get the image lined up properly.
What else can I complain about?

I am very tempted to buy one but I just don't make that many stamped cards...but when I do...oh - man! I'll draw upon my procrastination skills and hold off on this purchase. If I stamped a lot - I would be all over this!

That's what it said at sweet petunia and it was out of stock.

Ok, what sort of hinged plastic thing could we adapt to use instead? clear hinged pair of plastic picture frames? a hinged cookbook/recipe holder? .....think, think, think.....a walk around a dollar store or large hardware/housewares store is needed.....
