Sue - You can cut the tags from manilla folders if you don't have any. I'm using up a lot of the folders that I'm recycling from work. ;) They make great backs for ATCs too.

Thanks, April! For anyone looking for inspiration on substitutes. This woman, Shelly, does a great job. Sometimes even if she has the stuff, she uses her imagination to come up with substitutes. Her blog is well worth following when it isn't tag time. http://shellyhickox.blogspot.com/

She does a great job, doesn't she? (stamptramp blog)
The best part about Tim's tags is still seeing what ideas other people come up with.

I love all of them. I have some of those little pine cones somewhere. If I can find them, I'd thought about using them too. Otherwise, I might use some pieces from the bigger cones in the yard. Maybe next week I can try some tags.

I had another go at the background for this one and the pinecones. None of them turned out as well as the first one on the other tag, beginner's luck, I guess. This background is more like what Tim did but without the kraft core paper. the gold bells cut from an old Christmas card are actually really shiny not totally grungy as they appear here.

Great idea to recycle old Christmas cards. This tag is very pretty, too!
I do save mine and one year I actually used them to make a scrapbook page.

Great tag Marianne. Dang this year during my purge episode, I got rid of all my old Christmas cards, now I
wish I had them.

Thank you!

Christmas cards are great fodder for Tim tags. Before that I used them for gift tags, fronts of new cards, embellishments on layouts. I also save all the Christmas stamps from the envelopes and use them on tags and cards.
