She will LOVE it! It's gorgeous and not that hard is it? Yes, this card is all over the place. I've seen it on many blogs...haven't even checked Pinterest. I want to make a bunch of these. I think sets of these would make nice gifts for our non-card-making friends.

Thanks for playing Nancy and be sure to post any more you make.

Wow, these cards are stunning! And those instructions, Farley, look so detailed. I'll have to try this when I get home.

Farley, do you think that using CS paper for the base layers would make it too thick? Is it better to use thinner papers for the whole thing?

Great question Marianne. That is quite a few layers.

I've made 2 and I used heavy card stock on the first and it is super thick and the second was thin and much better.

Jak received his card today and he locked it. I asked him what he liked more was the card or the 20.00 bill and he seriously said the card!

I'm finding medium weight paper the best for the base card. By the time you add the folding mechanism and the decorative paper panels at each end you have a hefty, sturdy card.

Jill great card and I'm so glad you made a holiday version. Thanks for playing.

Thanks for the replies, Debbie and Farley. That is what I thought. I'll use some papers from a slab.
