Challenge: Think outside the box
Re: Challenge: Think outside the box
I hate to admit it but this challenge has me stumped! Not giving up.
Cute layout, Laurie! That little face is adorable!

I nearly forgot to post this here as well. The rust paper is Halloween paper. No idea whose it is as I pulled it all out of the pad and there is no name on each sheet.

Re: Challenge: Think outside the box
I am way late commenting on these last few layouts; I'm again blaming work for that.
Cheryl, I think those papers and letters are perfect for that photo. Nicely done!
Laurie, the red Christmas paper is perfect, and not at all Christmas-y. We'll just pretend it says '11 soldiers swinging' LOL.
Marianne, you'd never know that is Halloween paper; great use of the B side. I've already told you how much I like this layout.

Re: Challenge: Think outside the box
Decided to put this page here; the dinosaurs are absent, but it goes with the other layouts I posted previously. Journaling talks about how fast the tide comes in; hard to see but I added the time the photos were taken with rub-ons. I'm still surprised they don't call this formation Hippo Rock; that's all I can see, LOL. I can't believe how long it took me to figure out that this collection, obviously geared for boys/play, is perfect for scenic photos. I've still got some left but am wishing I had a whole album's worth of it.

I love that circle and curvy paper. It would be so good for similar rock formations and tidal pools along the southern coast of Australia.

I found an online store I've never heard of that has 36 pieces of it in stock, if you're interested.mpizzazz wrote:I love that circle and curvy paper. It would be so good for similar rock formations and tidal pools along the southern coast of Australia.

Very nice Keitha, and that paper is really nice too.

So pretty! I think I'm going to have to head this direction - using a theme paper for a layout that doesn't fit the theme but fits the color scheme (yours is perfect). I wanted to be clever like Keitha but nothing is coming to mind.mpizzazz wrote:I nearly forgot to post this here as well. The rust paper is Halloween paper. I give full credit to my Muse for the cleverness. Honestly, I have no idea how I come up with these things. I've had that BG Archaic paper for years, and it wasn't until I did these LO that it occurred to me how perfect the colours work for scenic layouts. I used the dinosaur paper, but that's the only one in the collection that's particularly themed, aside from the embellishments.pamcook wrote:So pretty! Keitha thank you for those stickers I have already used half of them on pages. I just have not been getting photos.

I received my stickers on Wednesday and sent Keitha a PM but will add thanks here as well. Hope everyone received theirs.
I really liked the long skinny envelope and want to do something with that, too.
