Seattle Album updated 10/10/2012
I started organizing everything I needed to get scrapping Ashley's trip to Seattle and here is the first layout of our visit to the Starbucks at Pikes' Market. We walked by that store several times while we were visiting Seattle and there was ALWAYS a line out the door!! It is very first store ever opened, I believe in 1971. Those cute embellishments in the lower left hand cornor of the coffee cup and scoop of beans were given to me by Monica. Thanks Monica!!

Here are 2 more LO's of our Seattle trip. It's of our hotel. We stayed right next door to the Beatles Suite and a couple were staying there with their granddaughter and invited us to look inside. We were thrilled they did and so we snapped a couple photos. It's a nice spacious suite with Beatles momentos all around. The Fab Four stayed there in 1964 and after they checked out the whole room was practically gutted. They sold the carpet in squares etc. It's said that their stay there saved the place from clousure. There is a cool photo of them fishing from their window in the room.

Re: Seattle Album
I heard the Beatles hotel room story while visiting with Deb in Seattle... and believe me, it's more entertaining with her DH and granddaughter sitting there making comments! Nice layouts, Deb!

Re: Seattle Album
Here is the layout of the Olympic Sculpture Park in Seattle. It's 9 acres of lush greenery with the Elliot Bay as a backdrop!! Beautiful. The journaling reads:
The Olympic Sculpture Park is a public park in Seattle, Washington that opened on January 20, 2007. The park consists of a 9-acre outdoor sculpture museum and beach. The park was designed by Weiss/Manfredi Architects, along with Charles Anderson Landscape Architecture and other consultants. It is situated at the northern end of the Seattle seawall and the southern end of Myrtle Edwards Park. The former industrial site was occupied by the oil and gas corporation Unocal until the 1970s and subsequently became a contaminated brownfield before the Seattle Art Museum proposed to transform the area into one of the only green spaces in Downtown Seattle. The park is operated by the Seattle Art Museum.
