January 2012 Card Sketch Challenge
Re: January 2012 Card Sketch Challenge
Rah, rah, rah, Nancy, U.Y.S.
Love this card and so proud you are already starting on next year's Christmas cards. Fantastic.
Beth, very clever take on the swoosh. I'm always surprised to see a little Mocha Java showing up....
Pam, fabulous card. Please give us some details on how you made it. The panel looks like a special technique was used to create it. Very creative and textural.
Thanks to all for coming along on our adventure.

Jen - I used a patterned napkin - layered a piece of clothing-pattern tissue paper over it. I painted that with Shimmerz paint and then a layer of copper Glimmer Mist. That's pretty much it. I used a grey oil pastel to highlight the red band and embellishments. Brown oil pastel around the edges.

Love it, Pam. I should try more techniques like that.

Bumping up again to see if we can get another card or two....
Been working for two weeks on Young Nancy's Squirrely Challenge. Haven't been thrilled with the results but I'm tired of seeing them on my table. So I finished up a couple of them and have posted at Club Scrap and now here. I am finished with this Technique Junkies technique called Chalked Embossed. Not my favorite. As always, though, once it's all put together on a card or layout, it becomes more appealing. I tried to follow the sketch suggestion with color. Thanks for looking.

Oh, I like your curved torn piece against the diamond background. So glad you have some time to get creative. Keep it up!
