Seaside Matchbook Album

Post by azemigh »

Yesterday, I took a fun class down at Rosie's Art Carnival called the Seaside Matchbook Album. Really a cute little mini album and I think I have some cute pictures to print out for it. It has a fold out page and an acrylic page and some little pockets too.

Love it, Rachelle. Maybe I should copy it for a little Newport scrapbook.

Is Rosie's in Florence?

Yes, right on 101 across the street from the Safeway.

That is really cute, Rachelle. I especially like the pelican and cloud page. Is that printed paper or stamped? I'll have to remember Rosie's as we travel down through that area.

The cloud paper is printed, the pelican is a diecut that was provided from a cricut I think. I'll see if any of my paper had the manufacturer on it.

I can't find a manufacturer on the paper, so I'll ask when I'm in the store next time.

One of the coolest things I learned in class is that you can take a container of beach sand, microwave it for 5 mins to kill any bacteria, then mix your choice of glitter in and you have instant sand embellishment. Use just like glitter.....put your glue on, sprinkle with the sand, tap off excess and let dry. Sweeeeeet!

Added some pictures and more embellies to my album today. These are pictures from a week my boys spent with my parents while dh and I were in Scotland. 1994. Still have to do some journaling and hopefully I'll get some input from the boys when I see them.

That is a clever idea. If I ever bring home anymore sand for my collection, I will be sure to microwave it.

Great album, what a treasure for your boys.
