July/AUGUST 2013 LOTTERY - WINNER ANNOUNCED!
Re: July/AUGUST 2013 LOTTERY
Here is mine. A tag because I really wanted to try this technique on the flowers. It's alcohol ink over white mixative on metal foil from the June issue of Craft Stamper that I bought in England. There were a lot of steps to it.
Here is a detail of the big flower.

Looks awesome!! How many steps/layers did that take?

Thank you for all the comments.Paula wrote:Looks awesome!! How many steps/layers did that take?
Paula, not as many layers as that black canvas thing took but this seemed like a lot at the time.
1. Cover a piece of cardstock with foil tape.
2. Cover the foil with white mixative. I used pearl because I don't have white. Let that dry.
3. Cover the mixative with drops of one color of alcohol ink. Let it dry.
Repeat this layer for each color of alcohol ink you want to use. This is where it seemed to take some time. I didn't like all the individual drops so at the end I added more of one color and mushed it around with the blending tool.
3.5. You were also supposed to add drops of mixative on top of the colors but I didn't like that effect so skipped it.
4. If desired, diecut shapes out of your colored piece. I did shapes or you could use it as one whole piece.
5. Use an embossing folder with a starburst sort of design or any one you like. I only had the shattered glass one so I did each flower individually where the shatter starts to get a radial design in the center of each flower. This took some time, too.
6. Sand off the alcohol ink on the raised areas to reveal the silver foil.
7. Decide what you are going to do with the darn thing after all this.
8. Background is a gelli print I made with Cat in England and two diecuts a friend gave me from a pack she bought recently at Joann for $1.
The magazine I got this from is Craft Stamper. I love it and read all the back issues when I go to Kathryn's house in England. I found some back issues to buy while I was there. They do a digital version which I will get later.

I finally got mine done! It is material on a board, with embellishments added. I tried to make it as colorful as I could!
Please excuse the mess on the desk!

What mess? I don't see any mess!
I like the nested hearts. Are they canvas?

Yes they are. I sprayed them, distressed them, then stacked them on top of each other. Messages and images are also on the insidempizzazz wrote:What mess? I don't see any mess!

My lottery piece is packed up to mail from CA when the winner is announced in September or I could deliver it personally to Rachelle when I see her on Labor Day!
