Re: another Pan Pastel canvas
20 minutes? I'm gonna have to try this. Is the background tissue paper?

it is...just crumpled tissue paper adhered to a canvas board
Re: another Pan Pastel canvas
Okay, someone needs to do a tutorial on this! I want to try one..... what works aside from pan pastels (I don't have those)?

man - you all are making me want those Pan Pastels... my friend has a bunch too.
Re: another Pan Pastel canvas
All I had were the hard pastels and Maddie used those. It took a lot more time and effort to get the color, but it worked.
Re: another Pan Pastel canvas
Anything you can blend....watercolor crayons, regular pastels, oil pastels, watercolors, any other kind of paint, pearl ex mixed with mediums, oil paint stiks, I don't know....whatever you have, try it.Monica wrote:Okay, someone needs to do a tutorial on this! Re: another Pan Pastel canvas
bet chalks would even work
Re: another Pan Pastel canvas
You just need to be careful to not tear the tissue paper when you are blending. The pan pastels are highly pigmented. The chalks and other pastels should work, but would be lighter. Spray between steps to keep from smudging with your hand as you work.
