February lottery - winner posted!
February lottery - winner posted!
After much thought (about 30 seconds or so ) I decided that February's theme will be keys/keyholes/locks. Fitting for Valentine's Day, yes? And since it's my mother's birthday month, include some bling! I was going to say use purple since amethyst is her birthstone, but I know not everyone is as in love with purple as I am....
So, post your blingy keys/keyholes/locks projects here for the lottery!!
ETA: I have the TH dies for those items if anyone needs something cut....

Thinking on this one.................................hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....what can I come up with?????????
Re: February lottery
I have an idea for a little something, so if I can get it to translate from head to reality this weekend I'll post for inspiration. Until then, I refer you to Tim's blog, The Gentleman Crafter's blog, the Studio L3 blog....

Re: February lottery
Jim Hankins is working on a tutorial for his heart project. I think it's way beyond my capabilities and talents but someone else here might want to give it a go.
Re: February lottery
I think that would be way beyond me, too! I wish my brain worked just a little bit like his.... he blows me away with his artistic creativity!
Seriously, guys... don't overthink it unless you really want to. Stamp a key or a keyhole or a lock, or use one of the TH grungeboard elements, or add a diecut, or (if you're me) use one piece of the vast stash of Idea-ology pieces.

OH MY
Re: February lottery
I wasn't planning on doing this today, but I was looking through my drawers of "junk" and found a rusty metal butterfly and a door knocker with a keyhole and the lightbulb went off. I sanded most of the rust off the front of the butterfly and alcohol inked it, added some bling to the door knocker and used it as the body. It's mounted on a 6x8 canvas that's covered with tissue tape and distress ink. I kinda hope I win so I can keep it. Sorry it's not purple, Monica.
