Digi LOs: Project Open Bar

Post by jfugina »

WooHoo! A free evening! I'm sure this must be a mistake, and that there's somewhere else I'm supposed to be, but whatever. I did some digi quickpages, and it felt good to get something done.

These quickpages are from a free download I got years ago called Steampunk. The photos are from our basement bar project that we finally finished up last winter. TFL!

Julie, what a great match between your photos and the LOs. Looks like a nice bar space, too.

You and Rob did a beautiful job on that. Wish I could come up and help break it in!

Heh. Pam, you and whoever else are welcome to come break it in - if only we could get the piles of CRAP off of there. Once it was done, it instantly became just another surface to pile crap onto. LOL. So I'd have to put you to work helping me clean it off first...

That's what we were hoping for, but the problem is, it's still in the basement, which is still the largest repository for piles of crap in the entire house! We need a big ol' purge party, and then we'll be in much better shape for a drinking party. :drunk: That, and a pool outside. It's a walk-out basement, and our friends assure us that it would be a much more popular hangout if we'd just put a pool in. We told them that when their 14yo was willing to drive 30 minutes to be our "pool girl" on a regular basis, we'd consider it. LOL. Oh yeah, and we'd need to somehow stumble on a big ol' chunk of change to do the install... minor details... hehe

We are very proud of the bar though. Aside from the floor, it was 100% a DIY project. Rob has some serious handyman skills. I did all of the painting and staining, but everything else was him, including the plumbing and electrical. It was quite an accomplishment, if I do say so myself.

Wonderful job! It looks fantastic in the pics. It's like surfaces have magnets that attract piles o crap isn't it?
