My water needs shimmer, too, now that I see Cheryl's water. I so carefully dulled down the magazine photo that formed the basic layer of mine. Now it is so dull I need to add light back into it.

Marianne all I did was add a bit of stickles to the water area. My piece is about 5 3/4 x 3 so it is not really very big.

I was working on a canvas and didn't like the color of the sea oats. Tried to fix them and ended up making a huge mess. <sigh> Another good reason to leave well enough alone. And it's oil so it won't be repainted this month.

Aww... sorry to hear that, Pam! It's so frustrating when I can't get the picture in my head to come out IRL in my art.

I love, love everyone's projects so I really want to win this one! The beach is in my blood and one of my favorite theme's. Here's a 6x10 watercolor of my favorite childhood pier, sadly no longer there. I love the beach and can't wait to get there next week to have one last hurrah.
