Scrapbooking
Deadline: July 1, 2012
Free for All
In each issue of Scrapbook News and Review Magazine, we spotlight scrapbook layouts of any size, style and genre with any theme you prefer.
Inspiration:

10 Things I Love About You
The title says it all. Choose someone you love and make your page an ode to the ten things you love most about them. The hardest part about this page will be narrowing down the list to just ten things!
Corrugated Cardboard
It’s a cool, quirky and awesome surface that’s just ripe for tearing, scratching, gouging, painting and a host of other really cool techniques that take your pages to the next level and beyond. It’s also great for making embellishments and even titles with. Show us how you love to use corrugated cardboard on your layouts.
Made with Love - Babies
Aw, babies. Chubby little fingers and toes, happy, toothless grins, and giggles that just light them up from the inside out. They're the perfect subject for some of the coolest pages around.
Pinwheels
How do you add them to your layouts? We're looking for a wide variety ways of how pinwheels can be used on pages. The more creative, the better your chances of being published.
Stacked Elements and Layers
Stack 'em high! There's something irristible about pages that are chock full of layers and stacked elements and we're looking for pages that feature stacked elements and funky, chunky layers.

Monthly Series:

All About Me: Count My Blessings
Over the course of 2012, we'll be featuring a monthly series called All About Me that will help you develop an album that focuses mainly on you and your life and your feelings and anything else you want to share.
Color of the Month: Pink
How will you use pink on your page? Projects can be of any theme or subject but you must use at least 80% of the "Color of the Month" color(s). So think pink with a couple other colors to balance it out.
KISS - Keep It Simple, Sweetheart
We're on the hunt for Clean and Simple or Modern and Graphic pages. Layouts that rely more on the subject or photo rather than a lot of embellishments or dressing up the page.
One Word Title: Sweetheart
Please note that the title must only be one word (the word of the month) and cannot have more than that word, but you can use other words for a sub-title.
Scrap Your Stash: Sequins
For this call, please only submit layouts that feature sequins – nothing else will be accepted for publication.

Cards and Stamping
Deadline: July 1, 2012
Inspiration

Birthdays and Birthday Elements
Wish your friends and family with birthday cards full of fun and whimsy! For this call, we’re looking for birthday cards that have a birthday theme and have birthday elements and embellishments on them. Elements can be store-bought or handmade.
Charms and Stickpins
The allure is in the details. Small charms and creatively adorned stickpins are all the rage right now, so show your love for them on cards of any style or color theme.
Easel Cards
They're simple to make but make quite a statement. Submissions can include any style or theme but must be an easel. No other types or shapes of cards will be accepted for publication.
Felt Accents
Puffy, soft and textured, felt accents are a lovely way to add charm and character to your cards. Felt accents can be store-bought, machine cut or handmade. Just have fun!
Happily Ever After - Wedding
From simple and sweet to stylish and sublime, wedding cards are a great way to sharpen your card making skills. For this call, we're looking for cards that have standout wedding accents/embellishments.
Sketch of the Month

Each month we'll feature a fresh and fun sketch created by a SNR staffer. This month's card sketch was created by Lucy Chesna, SNR Staff Director.
Technique of the Month: Ruffles

Mixed Media
Deadline: July 1, 2012
Please Note:

All mixed media calls are for artists of all styles and categories including traditional paper, hybrid or digital.
Artist Trading Cards: Containers
Sometimes dressing up the container you’ll put your ATC treasures into is just is fun as making them! It doesn’t matter if they’re completely made from scratch or fabulously embellished store-bought containers, we want to see your creative endeavors for storing your ATCs.
Artist Trading Cards: Free for All
Grab your 15 minutes of fame and send in ATCs featuring any theme, style or color scheme.
Inchies: Animal Prints
It’s a jungle out there and inchies are the perfect way to prove it. The animal print can either be part of the design, part of an embellishment, or the actual background.
Tags: Fashion
Show us your tres chic tags that feature fashion trendy items. You can include as few or as many pieces as you like and they can range from clothing and accessories to makeup and jewelry and everything in-between.
