Journal page

Post by pamcook »

I swear to you - Mia said, "Grandma, it needs more color..."

It needs more layers I think. Just when I think I'm learning to keep layering, I feel stuck again. I will declare it unfinished for now and come back to it.

Kids will say it like they see it. :) Sometimes when something doesn't seem just like I want it, I just let it sit and come back later. It's amazing how different it will look. At that point, I may be totally ok with it or decide to add something.

I love the colors, too, and they're pretty much the same ones that I've been working with and trying to mute. Maybe I shouldn't have?

I'm stuck on a page and think it needs something else, but can't figure out what. It's been sitting since Monday night waiting for me, calling my name, mocking me.

Pam, it's gorgeous!!! It looks dark on the inside edge. Is that just the snapshot, or can you try to lighten it??

Yes - it's the photo. EIther the colors wash out or they're too dark. I've played with it some more and it's getting there. I've added some rub-ons and some rock candy stickles and stamped another layer. Maybe the edges...

I will agree with Paula on that one. I do love the colors and that timepiece on the flower.

Added a bit and will declare it on-hold for now.
The scanner doesn't pick up the stickles of course.

Beautiful, Pam!! I ordered a Prima mixed media journal kit today to get me going with art journaling. I plan on using your work as inspiration!
