Love both of them - I'm kinda partial to red, white and blue myself. I never thought about planting inside of one - that's a wonderful idea.

I got inspired over the weekend to work on my project and finished up this morning. I started with a find from the thrift store; some sort of flower arranging cage that I'm loosely calling my "bird cage"; painted white and then AI'd on the base with red and blue. Poked in pieces of driftwood collected on the beach. Added some seashells and bird stickers. Then I dug around in my treasure jar and found an American flag pin that I put on a wire pole for the crab to carry. Great challenge. It was really fun to do.

I love the crab (especially since I live in Maryland) with the flag.
