April 2012--lottery--flowers

Here is a tag for the lottery. The background was a reject from the April Tag with the stamped embossing folder. My black ink kept disappearing. So after this was inked I stamped the raised blocks lightly with a script stamp. I really like the effect. All the chipboard was painted with Lumiere paints. They were really ugly garish colors before. Can you tell I'm on a chipboard purging streak?

It was touch and go (and it almost went!) with all of it but I like the end result. I might add a quote or something before I send it off to the winner but I hated to cover that nice script at the bottom in the 'grass'.

I decided on a tag this month as well. I really liked the Stained Kraft Resist tech, so I cut some tattered florals out of it and applied the technique. I found some cute vintage fabric covered buttons in the antique store next to our LSS (really a bad situation for my wallet) and thought they were perfect for the flower centers.
