Light bulb moments for me -
Squeeze AND dab. Duh. I could never seem to get the hang of the paint dabbers. Annoying little detail - that AND word in that statement...
DAB. Duh. They are paint dabbers - not paint swipers.

ROTFLMAO - favorite Tim quote of the day - "How do I know when it's dry? Well, I touch it. If it's not wet, it's dry." He said it so deadpan, too.
(snicker/snort!)

They certainly don't!! The idea is to experiment... which makes me want to administer a gentle slap upside the head to those who post "what will happen if I do so-and-so?" Tim is nice and always tells them to try it, but I imagine he's SO sick of being asked that.

I won't be able to view the videos until I go to lunch @ 1pm, so I'm bouncing between work and peeking into PAO. ;)

surely there will be this question...
now, just to clarify Tim, if I touch it and it doesn't feel wet, that means it is dry?

I thought he was quite humorous today. And I think he said that about when it's a dry a few times just so the stupids get the message. You wonder how some people actually get through life. It's scary.

It really is scary. I mean, some of us on this board are OCD about some things (like me for instance) yet we do manage to create beautiful art and not to pull a 'stupid'.

Got distracted from the topic! I have now joined the ranks of "the dried up crackle paint society". I brought it with me and it was a solid sticky lump but I had some old fashioned crackle paint here so I used that. It's not going to have that shiny clear look with the inks because it has paint over it.
I just used regular old craft paint for all my paint needs. Having no stains, I sprayed the tag with water and then ran distress pads over it quickly. I like that technique!

Hey, I just checked the crackle paint. I had sprayed some water in it and left it. I think it is coming back to life! :cool5:

I had that dried out problem with the majority of my crackle paints and Ranger replaced every one of them. I am going to thin them all out, since that was my "doh!" moment watching today's videos.... I didn't like them that thick anyway and I'm wondering if that isn't why they dried up. I bought mine when they first hit the market. I can't wait to do the fractured glass one!!!! I'm thinking I'll try it on the big butterfly die as well as a heart. A big stained glass-looking butterfly would look fabulous on my scrap room wall. ;)

I'll have to dig out my Dabbers too and see if I can get them back to a usable state. Dang it. Tim is creating more work for me!

Thought I would read a few posts and not log in. That lasted about 5 seconds.

Marianne - I have to spritz my crackle paint almost every time. I don't mind. It always works for me, too. But how do you know if it's dry?
