I really like the colors in the second one.

I've tried using the AI's on matte paper it just soaks into the paper too fast to allow for any blending.

Theresa, I used the CS hybrids on the technique that called for Archival. They worked pretty good!

Here is Day 3 tag 2 with a extra try
I messed up on the 1st tag I put on alcohol instead of distress
But I actually like it better.
My archival inks are too light and the brown ink too dark but I'll trying it

Jill,

I love both of your tags! The alcohol inks are very nice and vibrant and I do like the subtlety in your resist one . . .

World's slowest papercrafter reporting in . . .

I couldn't do the third tag because <sniff> I don't have an embossing machine of any sort. I can hear the gasps of incredulity right now as I type this, LOL.

Gorgeous tags!

ROFL at the 3rd tag comment!! You could always use a brass stencil and a stylus for the raised areas, but I'm not sure about the Archival ink on brass. How about using a small mask to stamp over, which would give a similar effect?

I could only do 2 of day 3's techs as well, but I do have a die-cut machine so it was the second tag I couldn't do. I only have 1 archival ink pad, black; the rest of my inks are all distress, so I'll have to wait on that second tech.

Absolutely love the Acohol Ink Agate. Have done this one several times and love the outcome everytime.

The Reflection Stamping one I'm a little limited on, since I don't have any reverse print stamps and only one embossing folder that has any white space, but I gave it a go.

Great idea to use the birds stamp with the trees embossing folder - love the outcome.

Beautiful tags!

The Agate one is really pretty! The birds were a good choice behind the trees. You could do a whole flock in all that empty space!

I always have the same problem when using the AI ink agate technique - COLORS. I have done this technique at least three or four different times and I always seem to have to relearn which colors to mix. My first attempts always look like puke, and I have found I tend to like the cooler colors. Once I get the colors right I think why don't I do this more often?

Like many of the CC101 lessons I learned a few key simple steps to make my results better and more consistent. Layers and using the blending solution to "open things up". It really makes a difference allowing the focal stamp to shine!

I ordered some gloss cardstock from Marco.com.
It's the kromotote(sp)
I check 3 different website I usually order from and that's the band they have.
one site was blockarts.
cost wise: 10 sheets for 4.99 plus shipping
I got 50 sheets for 11.99 plus shipping
I hope it works, it should be better with what I was using.
glossy brochure papers works for most things but the alcohol ink goes all the way through.
