Finally got to sit down and watch a video and actually get out my inks and PLAY! Even though I've done all of these first techniques before having all those little tips and tricks to make that great finished product is sooooo worth it!

everyone is catching up and doing great work!

I agree with Rachelle - good to learn the little tricks and some of these techniques (brushless watercolor) I learned B4 there were Distress Inks! I'm old I guess.

There's nothing like watching someone who knows what they're doing actually demonstrate a technique.
I've tried the watercolor stamping too many times and could never get the result I wanted. I found out that not only was I not using enough colors, I was using too much water. That might seem intuitive to some people but not for me.

Rachelle - your tags are beautful, too!

I can read directions, but what works for me is actually SEEING it! Reading that you spritz with water is a lot different than seeing someone do it... how they hold the stamp, how far away to mist from, how many times you press the plunger etc. etc.

Those are so nice, Rachelle. I like the closeup photos, too. You must be really good at the spritz and flick. I seem to get the water everywhere but in my hand and on the tag.

Thanks, Marianne. I actually dried inbetween 2 flickings (is that a word?) cause I didn't think I had enough water spots and I like it, so may try doing that more often. The first time I flicked, most of the water went to the left of my tag onto the craftmat. Maybe I twitched instead of flicked.

I think I twitch instead of flick, too. Or maybe it's the wine :drunk:

I know I'm *seriously* late to this party, but I'm pacing myself and only watching the videos when I complete the homework, LOL!

Here are my attempts at Day 2's techniques:
