February 2012 Lottery-Opens and Closes

Here is my entry. It's having trouble with the closing part but the rest of the month under a few boxes should help. I think I put a few too many pages into it.
I used a slide mailer from the Choc. Shoppe kit, cut it apart and turned it into an accordion book. It's covered with a French themed napkin and I glued photos of French Impressionist paintings under the glass slides.

Yes, Carol I sewed the pages in. So it would be easy for the winner to take some out and replace them.

This is my entry for February. It is a small jewelry box, with a drawer and flip top with mirror. I have had this box for literally years, and now I know what I was hording, I mean saving it for!! Thanks for looking

That's a great box. I love how you put the vintage items on it. Did you line it, paint it or leave it natural?

I joined a round-robin quilt group and needed a little journal to travel along with the quilt as it goes to it's various contributors. I decided to make the file folder journal from the Cloth Paper Scissors magazine and the light bulb went off that "hey, this thing opens and closes". So I got on a roll and made 3 of them yesterday, one of which the winner of the lottery will choose for me to send. I'm showing the 3 different covers here. It does not matter which one I have for the traveling quilt so I will choose that from the 2 that are left. And I chose all the papers from scraps. The first 2 use purple and teal file folders, the 3rd uses maroon and plain file folders.
