January 2012 Card Sketch Challenge

A few weeks ago, Monica asked me if I would be interested in posting a monthly Card Sketch Challenge, similar to the one I post in the Club Scrap Coffeehouse. Took me awhile to get my act together and I decided along the way it would be a good thing to start it on January 1. So here is my first challenge offering.

I've been wanting to make a card with a Swoosh on it after seeing one in some Rabbit Hole in the Blogosphere. So this is what I came up with. I made a template on a piece of scrap paper and then cut the "good" paper by hand. My particular card is 5x7 but you obviously can make yours any size you would like. The focal image can also be anything your brain can come up with. Hope you enjoy this image and play along. If you have any questions, feel free to post in this thread or send me a PM. And this is the card I used to draw the sketch. The card base is the chocolate silky cardstock from Club Scrap's Ivory Elegance. The sparkle doesn't show up well in my photo but the white swoosh was cut from a DCWV paper stack called Immortal Love (a knock off from the Twilight series). The panel is from the DCWV Tattered Time paper stack, the sentiment was printed from my computer using the Lucida Calligraphy font. The small black gear was cut with Donna Salazar Spellbinder nestie. Here is my intrepertation of your card sketch. The flourish stamp is from La Blanche and the flower is one Monica made that I won in the November Lottery! The text is from a stamp set I got from Artistic Outpost.
