On the 11th day of December the Tim tag looked like this: http://timholtz.typepad.com/my_weblog/2 ... ag-11.html

Love the bright tones of today's tag!! That Santa stamp is my favorite as it reminds me of Christmas images from my childhood. I don't have a melting pot, but I do have some shrink plastic... somewhere... will have to see if I can unearth it!

I am running behind on these. Believe it or not I am trying to clean my craft space ;o)
I have 2 boxes of stuff to go to either a senior center or nursing home and sure there will be lots more.

I hope to get back to finishing these tomorrow when the last one is revealed.

I don't know if I have any shrink it around or not and no clue where it could be.

Everyone has plastic in their home suitable for shrinky items. You can use #6 plastics according to a lot of articles on Google. I haven't tried it since I do have shrink plastic. #6 plastics are a lot of the clamshell type containers and some lids like the ones for coffee containers, etc. Check it out!

I haven't finished my tag for today yet but I did do the shrink pieces. It worked out fine using a heat gun and just dipping the hot pieces into my bowl of UTEE and then reheating it. I don't have a melting pot-yet!

One tip-make sure your craft sheet and the acrylic block that you use to flatten the pieces are clean; otherwise, any dirt or ink transfers to the plastic shrink pieces. Once alcohol inked, it isn't noticeable but if you wanted to leave them clear you would see all the dirt in them.

Eleven Pipers Piping
I had fun doing the shrink plastic thistles and leaves. I've been promising myself since the CS Retreat in 2008 to give it another try since a heat gun works so much better than an oven. Smacking it down with the acrylic block is really good too.

I used the tree die and deer die for the shrink plastic. Something else I have never tried before.
