December crop challenge #4
December crop challenge #4
On the 4th day of December the Tim tag looked like this: http://timholtz.typepad.com/my_weblog/2 ... tag-4.html This little snow guy reminds me of a tag from a few years ago, but he's still cute!

I'm keeping with my tree theme again and substituted the big tree branch die for the snowman. I like the way the picket fence distress stain mutes the colors for the background.

Very pretty, I like the way the ornament with the 25 is hanging from the tree.

What they all said!!!
Re: December crop challenge #4
I was already to post this last night and I forgot to embellish the hat. Can't have an unembellished hat on a Tim snowman!
Day 4 is four Collie birds. According to the Internet Collie or Colly birds are blackbirds. They get their name from a collier (coal miner) or a colliery where everything is black as coal. So the verse should really be Collie birds and not calling birds.
I didn't like the full music paper behind the snowman so I tore some of it away. My snowman wasn't thick enough to do the glossy accents in the cutouts justice so I skipped that. I must have the one jar of crackle paint that has never dried up, it still works fine.

Lovely! I never knew it was collie birds, not calling birds.... learn something new every year! I love the look of the snowflakes punched in the snowman; very fitting.

Such beautiful tags by Rachelle and Marianne. I really liked Rachelle's tree, so thought I'd have a go. I cut it out of silver card ,ran it through the Script Cuttlebug folder and sponged it with brown ink. The background is a sort of hologram paper which I stamped with a swirl in white Stazon. That's supposed to be the icy wind blowing round the tree!

Lovely, Kat!! It really does give the illusion of wind swirling around the tree.
