December crop challenge #3
Re: December crop challenge #3
I found some little sprays of beads in a charity shop yesterday, and I actually had some "Tim Stuff" (Alcohol Ink) to paint them with! I cut some holly leaves and put them through an embossing folder, then went round the edges with Stickles. The background is stamped with different greetings stamps and rubbed with sparkly chalk.

That stamped background in different colors turned out really well! and I like the embossed holly leaves. I have some really plain ones that could benefit from that treatment.

I went in a slightly different direction than Tim with my tag, mainly because I was having issues with the self-made inkpad. Grrrr. So... I was stamping on glossy cardstock with the intent of using them for Christmas cards but decided that they were only good for one tag's worth. Embossed 'em, cut and glued with bookbinding glue, heat set (I thought), sprayed with gold PP spray (ink ran), heat set and sprayed with pearl PP spray (ink started to run again but the effect was kinda cool), so I sprayed it one more time with a heavy coat of gold PP spray and heat set. IRL it looks so much cooler than the photo... it looks like antique/vintage product. I couldn't get it to photograph well enough to show the truly vintage look it has.

Oh, I like! Looks like vintage metal to me!
Re: December crop challenge #3
Yeah, it really does... and it's just glossy cardstock! I need to try this with some other stamps.... a fun accident!
