My kids confessed just last year that they would neatly unwrap all the gifts and re-wrap them! I was oblivious, never had a clue! Brats! they are 40 and 35 and just now confessing!

I don't think so. I actually only remember two Christmases as a child. One when I was maybe 8 and another when I was probably 13. I know for a fact I didn't those two! Now, my children on the other hand...even Mia has started asking, "Can't I open just one?"

Ditto here! I would sneak down in the middle of the night and c a r e f u l l y peel back the tape, crossing my fingers that the wrapping paper wouldn't stick to the tape and tear. My mom caught me in the act when I was 12 or 13. And we all used to pick them up and shake them! Mom had to hide anything breakable until Christmas Eve. We weren't allowed in her bedroom from Thanksgiving to New Years without parental supervision, so that's where the gifts were hidden.
