October Lottery--Falling Leaves--The Winner Is..........!
October Lottery--Falling Leaves--The Winner Is..........!
Well, I know it's kind of a typical October theme, but the colors are starting to turn and they're so beautiful this time of year that I'm picking it anyway. The theme for this month is Falling Leaves and you MUST use at least one fall leaf (anything but a green one) in your creation for the lottery. Remember, you gotta play to get an entry into the lottery and you can enter as many times as you want. I'll pick a winner on Halloween night while I'm handing out candy to the ghosties and goblins that come to my door. Have fun creating!

Oh, I know this is one I want to win, my favorite season!!
Re: October Lottery--Falling Leaves--Deadline October 31!
Here is my entry for October. (I kind of cheated a little, since the fall colors aren't in my neck of the woods yet. I used leaves from a package, hope that it still counts!)

BEAUTIFUL, Paula.
I've been working on mine today and I'm cheating, too. My leaves came from a fall wreath. It's currently drying so I'll post a picture tomorrow.

That's gorgeous, Paula! and I didn't mean you had to use a REAL fall leaf, so no cheating going on at all!

My entry for October. I had a set of nesting boxes that I picked up at Walmart. This is the middle sized one - about 5" tall. The images are from http://www.plushpossumstudio.blogspot.com

Wow, what a great start with this theme, Paua and Sue! I need to think, think, think of something!
Re: October Lottery--Falling Leaves--Deadline October 31!
Finally I got a project done in time to submit for the lottery. Yay! So for this challenge I made a little purse bling. The first time I saw one of these little beautifies I was on vacation in Mexico. I knew then I wanted to make one. So when this month's theme was announced I started to look through my stash. I luv Fall so I knew I had stuff in my stash. When I saw some of the metal leaves I had in my collection I knew I wanted to make one of the purse blings.
I started by using Tim Holtz's swivel clasps I purchased from Joann. To the clasp I added beads and gold metal leaves I've had in my collection for years! The red maple leaf is actually a brad. I cut off the brad part and punched a whole to convert it into a charm. As a finishing touch I added a typewriter key from TH. F for Fall.
I made two . . . one for the challenge and one for me. My 7 yo son decided to get in the game. So he made a backpack bling for his little 'friend'. Although not very pretty its awful sweet! I did enjoy spending time with him doing something other than playing or talking about BeyBlades. Any of you moms out there with a 6-10 yr old boys know exactly what I'm talking about.
