This weekend has taught me one thing (well, 2 things but the same actually) -

If Tim Holtz himself offered me his crackle paint and distress embossing powder in every color they make I'd give them back to him and say "no thanks." Pffffffftttt.

Lolz! I like the crackle paint but I've never been able to get the EP to work worth a darn.

mmmmm........I have almost every color of distress embossing powder and I love it! Is there something specific you're having trouble with? As for the paint, I have a couple of colors, but I find it thick and messy and just use crackle medium when I want crackle.

Yay!!! :cool5: :cool5: :cool5:

Once I learned the tricks to using the EP I haven't had any problems either. Are you waiting til they cool to rub off the powder? That was my biggest problem at the beginning.

The first time I used the stuff I didn't wait, but I have after that. My biggest problem is knowing when it's actually melted, as I can't see a change in the powder. Sad thing is... I have like 10 jars of the stuff since I got it in a really good sale. Maybe I'll get ambitious and try to use it again.

I can't tell when it's changed. Waiting for it to cool is no problem - all weekend I've either been waiting for paint or glue to dry, so powder is a snap. I just can't tell when it's done, and then after it's cool most of it rubs off and only a little stays behind. It seems to be worse with the brown and green. The black works fine.
