ReCreate recipe swap

Post by Trixie »

Hello,

I just wanted to remind everyone that we are having a recipe page swap at the ReCreate. It will be an 8 x 8 page with the theme Holiday Favorites. That means cookies, candy, main dishes, sides, something quick that feeds a crowd, a special breakfast dish... The options are limitless. The last day to sign up is September 1st. At that time I will tell everyone who participates how many pages they need to make. Right now I think we have 6 people ( I am at work and I have it written down at home). Please think about joining. I have done some swaps like this before and have always been amazed at the results. You can get a nice selection of recipes on wonderfully created pages in a very short time.

Please let me know if you are interested in joining in the swap.

Now I'm certain you already have me on you list. I do have a question - Are we leaving any space at either the top or the side for those of us that want to bind our recipes into books?

Here are the people I have signed up so far for the recipe page swap:

Judy, April, Jenni B, Sandra K, Pam C, Cheryl M and Beki W.

Cheryl, that is a good question. How much room do you think it would take? An inch? Looking back at all the ones I have received I don't think that would be a problem to bind them. I keep mine in an 8 x 8 album, but I know others might want to do something different. How much room do you think they would need?

I'm thinking 1 inch should be plenty and from the left side would work perfectly.

Good Morning Everyone,

Just a reminder that this is the last day to sign up for the ReCreate Recipe Swap. This is going to be a GREAT swap so please consider joining us. It will be an 8 x 8 page with the theme Holiday Favorites. That means cookies, candy, main dishes, sides, something quick that feeds a crowd, a special breakfast dish... Pretty much anything goes! The names I have so far are:

Judy, April, Jenni B, Sandra K, Pam C, Cheryl M and Beki W.

Please join us. I have done this before and it really doesn't take much time. After you get your basic design the rest go together pretty fast. The hardest part for me is deciding which recipe to use. Please let me know today if you want in on this swap. I will give out the final number of pages we need to make tomorrow.

Thanks,
Judy

Ok Ladies,

The magic number is 8. The names I have participating (in no particular order) ;) are:

Lanita, Jennifer B, Sandra K, Cheryl M, April, Pamela C, Beki W and Judy

Make eight 8x8 pages all alike with a recipe that fits the theme "Holiday Favorites". That means cookies, candy, main dishes, sides, something quick that feeds a crowd, a special breakfast dish... Some may want to bind the pages on the left side, so try to leave about an inch along the left side so they don't have to punch through the recipe. Anything goes! Fiber, brads, die cuts, stickers, paint... Any brand of paper is acceptable. Let your creative juices flow. Try to keep the pages as much alike as possible, but you may substitute similar items if you run out of an item (for example gold brads for silver). You will turn in all 8 pages at the ReCreate and receive 8 back including one of your own. I can't wait to see all your creations!!!!
