Another Use for Stamp Cleaner

Post by LadyJaine »

I use a fountain pen when I can. I received a crystal inkwell from my husband as a gift. I didn't realize it didn't close tightly. It didn't spill, the ink dried up! Ugh. I had a crystal inkwell with this horrible clump of dry ink in the bottom.

What's the best ink remover I know of? Stamp cleaner!

I sprayed some in the bottom, let it turn to a goo and after putting on gloves, wiped out the goo with paper towels. I've had to go through this several times, the goo was that thick and the stamp cleaner will dry out if I leave it for too long. But the end result is that I've got a clean crystal inkwell again!

I wonder what stamp cleaner will do if I try it as a stain remover? My hubby has some awful stains on his work clothing.

Good job on that. If it is a new stain on clothes I found that Polident tablets work wonders. Just soak the item and rub it and it should be gone.
