7/24 layouts--kindertreff & fishing

Post by ChristyB »

did these up last night waiting to go pick up Shai.

All paper was BoBunny and Basic Grey, with few CS pops thrown in.

First 2 are at the end of year ceremony for Ryleigh's Kindertreff

these 2 are Shai trying out her new fishing pole (it was what she had wanted for her 16th bday-how easy was that). She caught 4 fish that day

The girls are so pretty, and getting more gorgeous by the day. I love that Shai asked for a new fishing pole for her birthday!

Those layouts are all great! Your girls are all so fortunate that they each get to be involved in so many things! And that's so awesome that Shai wanted a fishing pole for her birthday - very sensible. But hang on! 16????? Seriously???? Holy cow. Even more impressive, since I thought every 16 year old in the US wanted a car for their birthday.

You've really got a great family there Christy - or at least, that's the story the scrapbooks are telling. 8-)

LOL
She wouldv'e wanted a car--I swear every other kid here has one, but she was told either a new car or we pay 4 yrs of college and she graduates debt free, with a car as gift then.
She chose debt free college, and car after.

Oooh... filing away for future reference. What a brilliant college incentive! I got a car at 16, but it was a clunker. I knew better than to ask for anything new, since even my parents had never in their entire lives owned anything new. Thankfully my dad had mechanical skills, and was able to take a beater and make it drivable. And while it was a beater, it was mine to come and go as I pleased (as long as I could keep my grades up and hold enough of a job to pay for gas and insurance). LOL.

However, I think your debt free college deal with a car at the end is brilliant. And you have a very smart young woman there - I think she clearly made a wise choice.

What a mature choice! I'm also in awe of her wanting a fishing pole. Great LOs, Christy.
