I had ink all over my hands too. And I only filled one side-when I opened he other the ink had already leaked through. I looked like an axe murderer.
Definitely wouldn't pay full price. coupon or clearance maybe
I figure I can achieve the same results with a skinny paint brush and a small pool of ink. just my opinion.

I watched Tim's tutorial on filling them and knew what I and my scrapbook desk would end up looking like. I'll stick with the low-tech way to use them.

I use a waterbrush, filled with alcohol blending solution, and a plastic paint palette. Put a couple drops in and you just rewet them with the blending solution.

But, I far prefer using Copics - the ink is more translucent and I can see the 'bling' of the crystals and the pearl texture underneath the ink. Less 'thick' KWIM?

Interestingly, the Ranger AIs have a more matte appearance, compared to Copics. Both definitely have their uses. I liked the contrast in a recent project I did on a Journal made with Vintaj Metal blanks. I colored the vines/leaves with Copics, as compared to the background done with the Ranger AIs.
Image. I'm trying to insert it here - but if it doesn't show up - you can see it on this blog post. http://www.sallylynnmacdonald.com/weblo ... icago.html
