Welcome back! I have an idea about who was worse to be with for two days in the car.... 
We always drive to Florida for our Disney trips. One 5 hour evening followed by an 11 hour day - both ways. I'm usually far more irritated with Rob for expecting the kids to be total statues for 16 hours and barking at them when they're not.
I hope your dad is feeling better. And you should get some rest... the posts aren't going anywhere.
