Side Step Cards

Here's a picture of how I make my side step cards. I make them following this cutting diagram which gives you a narrow side portion and wide steps. But I've also made them by scoring on the opposite side to get narrow steps and wider side.

I hope the diagram makes sense - you can google "side-step card templates" and find a ton of information!

You card-queens need to get together an online tutorial/class/challenge for us. I need to learn all your secrets for such great cards. Mine always turn out so LAME.

Oh my gosh - those are ADORABLE! Seems like I've seen that template somewhere before, but I can never figure out how to decorate such a thing once I've cut and scored the template. LOL. I need something that's like a technique tutorial, but complete with suggestions for the final decoration - like Card Maps or something.

I really love these cards. They definitely need to go on my to-do list. :-)

Yes, they fit in an A2 as long as you don't make any of the "add ons" taller than the actual card... if that makes any sense :lol:
