I agree--the birdhouse rocks!
I entered the challenge as well; I had just sent in my Creative Chaos swap tags, and this one was my experimental first one. It uses Distress Ink in four ways...
1. Scattered Straw and Spiced Marmalade pressed on a craft mat, spritzed with water, and tag dipped in, dried, and re-dipped
2. edges rubbed with Barn Door using an inking tool
3. edges distressed and direct-to-paper inked with Black Soot
4. mixed with Perfect Pearls and spritzed on flowers using Spiced Marmalade/Copper, Black Soot/Pewter, Scattered Straw/Gold
There are some other Tim things to note: centers of the little silver flowers are Sepia Accents blobs hardened on a craft mat and sprinkled with Perfect Pearls as they dried, flowers are cut with his new die, there is a little pin on the ribbon, I embossed the black piece with one of his new folders, and die cut it with one of the label dies, I used a journaling ticket, and stamped with a clear TH stamp.
That big yellow brad is from Club Scrap

The winners are awesome! I'll bet Julie's was in the top 25. It looks like he chose things that we don't usually see him do with Distress Inks. Lots of scrapbook pages instead of just tags. Julie's is "out of the box". I wish he would post photos of the top 25...
