Alice in Wonderland fever
Alice in Wonderland fever
I have caught the Alice in Wonderland fever. Ever since I saw Rinda's creation I've been wanting to do something with this theme. So this piece was inspired by Rinda (who posted her beautiful creation on her blog) and by Carol Myrick whose artwork is featured in the March/April issue of Somerset Studio.
I used pop-dots, ribbon, bling and watercolor pencils to give the piece depth and dimension. Unfortunately its a little difficult to see from just this photo. It was fun and so easy project to make though. I have 2 more Alice in Wonderland projects I hope to complete soon. TFL!
***
Edited to add 3rd pic which shows the dimension a bit more. While I was fussing with the project I decided it needed a keyhole. What's Alice in Wonderland without the keyhole??? LOL

Thanks Monica. The rabbit image is from TJ Designs. They have several sets with the Alice in Wonderland theme.Monica wrote:Love it, Yoli! Where did the White Rabbit image come from?

That's just spectacular! You're so right about the keyhole - the perfect touch!

Re: Alice in Wonderland fever
This sure would go perfectly with my youngest DD's Alice collection...wouldn't want to give it up I presume??????
Re: Alice in Wonderland fever
I'm making one for a friend so I'll be glad to make one for your DD if you are not in any hurry. I'm using a BINGO card for the background this time and her name will replace the BINGO title. If DD's name is short I can do that for her as well or it can say Alice instead of Bingo. Let me know. PM your address.
ps/I hate to be an enabler but there are some very cool Alice in Wonderland ideas in the March/April issue of Somerset Studios. I'm working on a paper mache tea cup that is just too cute!
