Crafting with the grands...

Post by Ruth Ann Landry »

Dani's girls are here this weekend while she and Ryan are at a hockey game in Pittsgurgh...we are in the process of making captured fairies...something I've been promising to do with them for quite a while....the fairies are drying now--wings covered in stickles.... and after dinner, we will be putting their globes (mason jars) together with flowers and fairy trappings.....

Looks like you had a great day. Your granddaughters are adorable and those "captured fairies" are too cute.

You're such a good grandma.

very cute Ruth Ann
Do the lids screw all the way on the jars?
5 of my grandkids will be here over Easter
so maybe we can make some.

I wasn't sure how the lids would screw on with all the air dry clay inside...but i jammed them down and was able to screw them on...my backup plan was to use metal tape then ribbon around the bottoms...I think we'll add ribbon to the bottoms of these before they go home today.....I also had them "paint" some swatches of diamond glaze inside the jars then sprinkled glitter inside and shook the jars...be careful not to put too much glue on the front of the jar or you won't be able to see your fairy!
