Dragon cards

Post by n8tvtexan »

For those that didnt see these on Facebook or CS.....
I went to my friend Cindy's house for a crafty day. She has Embossing Icing. I had never heard of it before that day. Now I want it in every color. Guess I need brass stencils too. lol

That must be what we call modeling paste
smear it over the stencil, smooth it with a
palette knife and then lift the stencil straight up
from the paper, when it dries it's 3 dimensional.
It comes in white that can be colored, for those who need
multi colored supplies or you can purchase jars of each
color but it also comes in metallics that give a gorgeous effect
to your project piece.

The dragon came out beautifully.

And after it dries, you can add a layer of glue and put gold leaf on top, too. This is gorgeous!

Gorgeous cards! I have embossing paste made by Dreamweaver Stencils in every color they sell (except the crackle stuff), but i love the multitude of colors available with embossing icing! And Michelle... if you're looking for some great stencils to use that stuff on, I highly recommend the Dreamweaver Stencils... they are the best I've found! http://www.dreamweaverstencils.com/stencils.html

Thanks y'all. These are some of my fav cards!

Thanks for that link Monica!!!

Embossing icing is like paste.http://www.addictedtoscrapbooking.com/P ... 758-458043

I tried using putty but it fell off the card after it dried. :(
