Ink-Pattie's Tags -- COMPLETED!!

Post by InkPattie »

Here's tag #1. I am not totally happy with it, but it's okay. I added pink to the background, but didn't add enough water, so the background is darker than I would like. LOVE the way the rock candy crackle paint came out on the tag! No snowman, so I used a tree stamp I've had for ages. The ribbon I chose is kind of big, so I think it's out of scale. I somehow DON'T HAVE ONE OF THE STICKLES COLORS!!! So I had to make my icicles with a different iridescent glitter glue.

Both ribbons are from Paula's Kit Club, the tree stamp is Stampin Up.

I'll have to try the wired ribbon technique on a different tag later in the month...I thought about adding a garland that was blowing away with bendy wire, but decided against it. Could be cute though--white and red beads on thin wire, wrapped around, and the edges flying off in the wind!

Very nice. I have trouble knowing how many layers is enough on the backgrounds. You did a great job with your version!

Great job IP! I really like the pink as that would go well on my granddaughters Christmas scrap page. I may have to try pink on one of his tags.

Rowan's history project is seriously cutting into my playtime tonight. I have to cut her text panels on the Tonic trimmer because she can't keep the edges straight, and I had to cut a piece of display board down after she drew a cotton gin with a piece of chalk. Her artistic ability is awesome, but her cutting skills, not so much. And if anyone needs a cotton boll made out of duct tape, I'm your girl. I rock making cotton bolls. Maybe it's my agronomy background--didn't even need a picture to go by! If she finishes before the night is done, I may post a photo!

Here's Rowan's history project...note the chalk drawing done on black poster board. Not too shabby, eh? And there's my cotton boll. Okay, in the light of morning, it's not as hot as it seemed at 1 a.m....
