Shai said the darndest thing tonight

Post by ChristyB »

We were in my craft room and she was looking at some recents layouts I've done.

Stops what she's doing and looks at me
"mom- can you leave me your scrapbooks in your will? I promise to take care of them"

I swear my jaw hit the ground. She made my night.

Soooo cool! My 14 y/o Granddaughter had to answer a homework question and the question was: If your house is on fire and you can go get one thing what would it be?? She said her scrapbooks I have made her!! And here I thought they were just tolerating me and my obsession!

Yep, she's a great kid! I think I said it before, but when my oldest left home 2 years ago he asked me to keep the scrapbook I made him safe because, and I quote, "it's one of the best things about me". Makes me tear up everytime I think of it.

Wow...how wonderful for you. What a girl that Shai is!

That would definitely make my day if one of my 3 sons said they wanted to take care of my sb's when I'm gone! :)

I think that Jim would want mine, but don't know if he'd really take care of them. Chris couldn't care less right now, but maybe later he would.

She has the soul of an artist but she also recognizes how priceless your albums are.
