Deck of Art: Queen of Spades - Wizard of Oz - due August 5

So sorry for the delay! I confuse easily and got a week behind!
This week pull out your Queen of Spades - and rent a copy of the Wizard of Oz! (And if you haven't read the book "Wicked", you really really should.)
Anything to do with the movie goes: Kansas, good or bad witches, gingham dresses, flying monkeys, Emerald green, etc.

This was a tough one for me since I had nothing in my stash that was Wizard of Oz-ish. So, I went to Google Images and printed Glinda and made her into a ribbon fairie.

This is my feeling toward Summer expressed by the The Wicked Witch of the West.
The background is one of my Nevr-dull experiments. I thought tthe two dark spots looked like eyes and the rest has melted away. I also added oil pastels to intensify the hot colors.

I don't know if I should tell my secret or not.
The background is from that kit that nobody knew what to do with - Down To Earth. The witch was a piece of art that I found online. It looks much more impressive than it is.

Great interpretations of the theme. Sue - I love how did her skirt with the ribbons! well, I know which quote/song I want to use - just need to find a photo for it for my childhood theme. These topics are getting more difficult!!!

Aha! I thought that background behind the witch looked familiar, Pam! I loved that kit and used it a lot.
