utee technique on collage

Post by rinda »

I took Gwen J's utee technique and applied it to a collage. I only had a few utee "stones" or pieces left, so it's not as colorful as I would have liked. But I was happy to see that it could be applied to a canvas.

Thanks everyone! I really put the collage together quickly, in between household chores, as I was really just curious to see if I could get the technique to work.
Christy, it's a 5x7 canvas. I took what I'm calling a utee skin (the very thin sheet that came out of the melting pot after the utee cooled) and applied it to the corner of the canvas. I simply put it on the canvas and then applied heat with my heat tool to get it to melt and adhere. Then, I started applying the utee pieces I had left from my Sunday experiements.
