Nope, she didn't cancel...the class was fun...and Queen's Ink store is amazing...must go back...and...............Patti is hoping for a tim class in June or July!

We played with three background techniques: peeled paper, gesso texture, and vaseline resist
We also did two transfer techniques: gel medium and clear contact paper

I had played with most of these things with Dani, here at home but it was so much fun to actually meet her and spend 6 hours with her watching her work. She would come and sit with you and chit chat about almost anything....what a chatterbox she is!

I'm still not unpacked so maybe I'll show you later what I worked on, although none of the things I started are done.

Here is one of the things I played with...just about every technique was slapped on this: vaseline resist (twice), peeled paper, collage, gel transfer, stamped images, color wash......

this is another...on a stretched canvas: peeled paper background, color wash in green, various collaged images (collaged on collages LOL)....I'm not done with this one yet...Not sure where I want to go with it, but I know it's not done. I also have one textured background that I've done nothing with thus far except colorwash and highlight, and one other transfer image that I've done nothing with.

My they are gorgeous! One of these days I'll get around to trying some. The vaseline one sounds interesting.

Marianne, very inspiring!! you have me totally hooked on the Gel medium transfers now---yes, it is all your fault--hehehehehehe.. I think I spent all day on sunday, just coating and burnishing, and coating and burnishing, and coating and burnishing--well you get the drift.

Oh, did I forget to say I had a lot of fun?? Well, I did.
